Well just when the doubt of having a single music act dominating the Billboard Hot 200 charts with sales of over a million copies in a week this year, Taylor Swift comes to the rescue with her third studio album, 1989.
According to Billboard,
"Industry sources now forecast the album to sell at least one million copies in its first week. That would make 1989 just the 19th album to sell a million in a single week since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991, and Swift the first act to earn three million-selling weeks."
Plus: 1989 will be the first album released in 2014 to sell a million copies.
In addition to being the first and only act in history to have three one million selling albums, she will become the best selling music act (that is after a week).
