t’s the album fans have been waiting for and rivals have been afraid of.
Adele‘s follow-up to ’21’ has been the subject of much discussion and industry-wide excitement. And up until now secrecy has encased the project.
However a new report not only suggests that it’s near – but also attaches an alleged release date.
Details below…
Hits Daily Double cites November 20th as the current date in the calendar for the year’s most anticipated LP. A lead single will reportedly land the first or second week of the same month.
Perhaps most interesting, though, is the promotional push in-place for the project.
Per HDD, the Brit-bred belter has inked a “lockout deal” with NBC for four big TV spots, including ‘The Today Show,’ ‘SNL,’ a dedicated special and one more appearance (possiblyJimmy Fallon). The exclusive deal will not, however, prevent Adele from appearing on the 2016 Grammys.
Given the colossal sales and impact of 2011’s ’21’ (which has sold over 11 million copies in the US alone), it’s no surprise to see all the stops being pulled out to ensure Adele delivers.
What’s more, with suggestion that she’s already inked a new $50 million global deal with Sony (this coming album is the last under her previous contract), all involved will be keen to maximize her commercial potential.
