We are pleased to announce that Sieylan Creations and Global Modeling Concepts will be hosting their first annual “Coming to America International Fashion & Business Tour” in Owerri, Nigeria March 28 thru March 31.
After four years of working the Fashion Industry in Atlanta, GA, Sieylan Creations decided to take advantage of new opportunities. Last year, Yashica Caffee, owner of Sieylan Creations, an Atlanta, GA creative management agency, met Joe Ugonna, owner of Global Modeling Concepts, a Nigerian-based modeling agency, and together, they created an opportunity that would soon change the lives of many.
The Coming to America International Fashion & Business Tour will be a world-class production with the hottest up-and-coming models and an exclusive look at some of America’s fashionable elite. Our mission is to empower, educate and inspire Nigerian young adults on how to successfully break into the fashion and business industry in America. Those chosen to rip the runway will have an opportunity later this year to participate in a fashion show in America with the potential of being signed to an American modeling agency.
This event will be a four-day extravaganza comprised of many educational facets, including:
- A business forum, where industry experts will shed light on how the industry works and answer audience questions
- A casting call, where participants could be selected to receive one-on-one coaching on modeling essentials like hair styling, make up application and runway presentation along with a professional photo shoot.
Our cause is to bring awareness of the rapid killer HIV/AIDS around the globe and help as many people as possible with the proper resources to protect themselves through education and fundraising. Half of the proceeds raised from the event will be used to sponsor a nonprofit organization in Nigeria that is fighting the war against HIV/AIDS.
Additionally, Sieylan Creations has partnered with fashion designer and humanitarian Bernard Buie, who has invented a unique tool in the fight against HIV/AIDS called SOS Boxer Briefs. The briefs provide users with the best comfort and quality and have a pocket inside them for storing condoms. This will provide users with a convenient means to protect themselves against HIV/AID’s, STD/STI’s and unwanted pregnancies.
Buie will also donate several pairs of his SOS Boxer Briefs and B Condoms to the citizens of Nigeria.
