Fred Amata Declared President Directors Guild Of Nigeria

Fred Amata has been declared president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN).
After a face-off between him, Lancelot Imasuen, Kingsley Omoefe and Dickson Iroegbu who later withdrew from the race to lend his support to Amata, the filmmaker emerged winner.

Top filmmakers gathered in Asaba, Delta state where the election was held which was presided over by Chairman of the National Electoral Committee (DGN NEC), Fidelis Duker.
Amata, who was competing for the third time polled 48 votes to defeat contenders: Kingsley Omoefe (7), Dickson (3), and Lancelot (43).

The election ends the three days session by the Guild at the Tourist Resort Hotel, Asaba. Inauguration of the new Exco members for the next two.
