Check Out Emmy Kasbit’s SS16 ‘Disturbia’ Collection

Nigerian brand, Emmy Kasbit is out with its Spring/Summer 2016 collection dubbed ‘Disturbia’.

With tailored pieces in bold colors and a rather nice belting technique, the collection speaks of a world where your outfit is a distraction and the only thing people want to see is the cuts and wavy shape that goes with your move as you walk in style!

Drawing inspiration from certain elements of nature that can cause distraction, Creative Director Emmanuel Okoro says: “I like to describe the collection as “RETRO WITH A CAUSE”…. It is not your everyday collection … Although the brand still maintained its signature English look in this collection, ( Tailored jackets, pants etc) there are certain details that were infused into the collection to make it stand out. Such as high low party pants for women (80’s), asymmetric high low jackets, wavy pleats on pants and flare sleeved jackets (both signifying waves on water)…”
