In world football, the term controversy is synonymous with Jose Mourinho so in the Chelsea manager’s rather predictable nature, he has taken a swipe at the English FA for over the banning of Diego Costa.
Costa whose on pitch antics had earned Gabriel Paulist a red card when Chelsea played Arsenal found himself banned for three matches over the incidence and the decision to ban his “star player” by the FA drew the ire of Jose “the special one” Mourinho. “I’m glad we don’t have 11 Diego Costas in the team because the desire to suspend him would be so big,” Mourinho said at a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League match with Porto. Chelsea take on Porto on the back of another premier league match in which they have struggled and Porto would be looking to get one over the manager that led them to UEFA Champions league success in 2004.
Costa has one match left on his suspension so he would miss premier league football this weekend but Mourinho would be happy to know he can use the Brazilian born, Spanish international later today
