There might soon be a new law for people discriminating against people living with HIV/AIDS in Ondo State, following the passage of the anti-HIV bill by the state legislators on yesterday.
At the plenary, members of the state Assembly unanimously passed the bill after it scaled through the second reading. The Chairman of the House Committee on Health, Bamidele Oleyelogun, who presented the bill before his colleagues, said there will be an option of N500,000 fine. But people, whose offences are considered grievous, will pay the fine and still spend five years behind bars
