"Jovago.com, has bolstered e-Tourism in Africa since July 2013"

Nairobi, August 4th 2015 – Jovago.com announces its 2nd year anniversary celebration today, it has provided online hotel booking services by linking guests to hotels through listing assorted accommodation, providing an e-Marketing platform for hotels and publishing industry reports.

Two years ago, Africa's respected online business incubator – Africa Internet Group – set to change how the world travels Africa by ensuring that every traveler across the economic scales could explore the continent without the fear of the unknown; by founding what would rise to be the continent's leading online hotel booking website.

Today, Jovago.com has extended its operations to over 40 countries in Africa and opened six regional headquarters with the objective of getting closer to both the customer and the hotel. With more than 25,000+ hotels on its booking platform, the company has the largest online hotel inventory in the continent, thus presenting customers with the advantage of unlimited choice. The company also delivers value added services such as trip planning advice and support through the 24-hour customer service team with a rich linguistic background that includes both international and local dialects such as French, Portuguese, Kiswahili, Yoruba among others.

"Being East Africa's biggest market, Kenya's great potential made it Jovago's first stop in the region," said Paul Midy CEO Jovago.com, "With our first office in Nairobi, we were able to adequately cover the region as offices are now present in Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda granting more access to all our customers within the region. We look forward to a greater expansion of Jovago on the African continent in order to reach the full capacity of covering the entire region and bringing all hotels found to the fore on its platform."

Jovago also boasts of other unprecedented achievements such as the Best Price Guarantee; a scheme that ensures the platform has the most affordable hotel rates through constant negotiations with the hotels on behalf of the customer. Being a player in the e-Commerce sphere, Jovago also capitalizes on provision of mobile payments on its site for convenience, spotting among other methods MpesaTigoPesa, card payments as well as the pay-at-the-hotel option. As Estelle Verdier, the Managing Director for Jovago East and Southern Africa explains, "we are constantly looking for ways of improving our product by optimizing our delivery in each area including customer relations, hotel acquisition and marketing to ensure that both the customer and the partner's interests are honored."
Over the last two years, Jovago.com has been instrumental in promoting local tourism in Kenya through campaigns aimed at encouraging Kenyans to travel Kenya by showcasing the country through publications as well as funding media drives on the same. Jovago has also a signed partnership with Kenya Tourism Board as well as bus companies and local and regional air carriers to create convenience for anyone with a desire to explore the country. Apart from these initiatives, the company offers resident rates for local tourists negotiated directly with the hotels for affordability.

"Two years ago, we launched Jovago with the mindset that we could tell the Kenyan story from her own people; from the locals who live and thrive here. We have created a successful company by collaborating with the stakeholders in providing a service that showcases the country, region and continent to the world through technology. We look forward to continuing this collective effort as we all endeavor for even greater success in future" Concluded Verdier
