Everton are most likely not going to release John Stones this season as the club chairman has come out to state that the England international is not for sale.
Chelsea have had three bids rejected for Stones in the past month and John Stones finally decided to take matters into his own hands and request a transfer away from the club. Everton have rejected the request and have reiterated their desire to keep the player for as long as they can. Following Everton’s capital one cup win over Barnsley in which John Stones featured for 120 minutes, Roberto Martinez told reporters that you simply cannot put a price on Stones and his ability. “Sometimes money can’t buy everything and that is going to be a very strong statement at Everton.” The manager told reporters.
Stones is viewed as a perfect replacement for John Terry by Jose Mourinho but Everton are adamant about holding on to Stones who still has four years left on his contract.
