FIFA vice president Julio Grondona has died after suffering from Aortic Aneurysm.
Grondona, who was also the head of Argentina's FA died on Wednesday, July 31st, 2014 at the Sanatorio Mitre private medical centre in his home country Buenos Aires, Argentina.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter announced the sudden death of his assistant via twitter.
'I am very sad for the loss of a great friend. Julio Grondona has left us at the age of 82 and our thoughts are with his family. May he rest in peace.'
He has been head of the Argentine FA since 1979 and on FIFA's executive committee since 1988 till his death.
