Christopher Giwa Emerges NFF President

In a strange feat yesterday following the arrest of former NFF President, Aminu Maigari, Christopher Giwa, the chairman of Nigeria Professional League club side, Giwa Football Club, was been elected as the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

According to reports, he polled 27 votes out of 29 to defeat his challenger, the former vice president of the body, Mike Umeh, who got a meagre two votes.

"Our first assignment is to see how we can put the house together. We are just privileged; not that we are better than others. I see this as a call from God and, by the grace of God, Nigerians will be happy with us and we will not disappoint them," Christopher said.
Reports suggest 15 members did not take part in the electoral process.

Lets hope this absurd turn of events in a week do not repeat itself as this throws a blow on the country's image.
