For the first year ever, Empire Ventures Inc., New York City's hottest new elite African entertainment brand, presents the After-Party extravaganza for this year's 9th Annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards 2014, taking place Sunday, August 31st, 2014 at the historic and posh Providence NightClub, Columbus Circle, New York City. After-Party festivities kick off at 10Pm EST after the conclusion of the NEA awards show program.
For the last 8 years, The Nigerian Entertainment Awards has brought together A-listers from all throughout the Nigerian entertainment world to celebrate the successes and triumphs of the veterans and rising stars of Nollywood, the world's 3rd largest film industry, of Afrobeats, the world's hottest, fastest-growing musical genre, and of all the other Nigerian/African entertainment communities. When the last award is handed out, the real celebration begins as winners, nominees, other celebs and fans dash off to the annual NEA After-Party, a highlight of NYC's Labor Day Weekend for 8 years running.
A first of its kind and scale, this year's NEA After-Party event promises to bring together the hottest, brightest stars and personalities within the Nigerian entertainment world under one roof to enjoy the ultimate New York City V.I.P. experience at one of NYC's preeminent nightlife venues - the historic Providence NightClub in Midtown Manhattan. Attendees will marvel at this 13,500 Sq. Ft space, replete with opulent architecture, cathedral ceilings, 3 levels, and 4 bars, while 'rocking-out' to the latest Afrobeats, HipHop, Reggae and Pop hits spun by six of Nigeria's top DJs - DJ Universe, DJ Zimo, DJ Fols, DJ Tunez, DJ Spinall and DJ Cuppy along with a lineup of other special guest DJs. The night is sure to excite, amaze, and delight!!
Empire Ventures will be getting the party started even before the show begins! With Red Carpet correspondent and rising star of Youtube fame - Nnenna Ngwu - covering the NEA pre-show at award show venue - NYU Skirball Center, in the heart of lower Manhattan's Washington Square. The main After-Party event will also kick off with a festive Red Carpet program, hosted by Nnenna Ngwu and sponsored by Empire Ventures. Right outside Providence Nightclub, winners and nominees alike will greet their fans and turn-it up on the streets of New York before making their way to the grand bash that awaits them inside.
