There aren’t too many words that come to the mind to describe the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards green carpet this weekend, but “ratcheeeeeet” is definitely one of them. There were some highs and lows as rap chicks, reality show stars and rappers arrived dressed in their best club attire, designer gear and made-from-scratch dresses, and we’ve got all of the pics.

The new hotel, 23-storey building Intercontinental Hotel is located at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos and boasts of 358 rooms, 37 suites and a presidential suite. And is the tallest hotel in West Africa.
The hotel is estimated at N30billion.
It is a subsidiary of the Intercontinental Hotel Group, IHG, owned by the Milan Group and was designed by a Nigerian architect, Bayo Odunlami.
It was unveiled yesterday by Governor Fashola in the presence of a lot of dignitaries such as Oba Akinolu of Lagos, Oba Oniru, The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo, Dele Momodu.

Boko Haram Attacks College Of Agriculture In Yobe, Over 30 Students killed
Area Military spokesman Lazarus Eli confirmed the incident and said that security forces have been deployed to the school to protect surviving students until they can all leave the campus. Eli said the attack was carried out by "Boko Haram terrorists who went into the school and opened fire on students while they were sleeping"

Lamar Odom got a message to call Khloe Kardashian. He called her and then she told him to call back in a few minutes. Before he called back she was told by Kris Jenner to get to Kris' house so the call could be filmed.
When Lamar called back Khloe put him on speaker which he wasn't expecting and wasn't expecting the entire family to be listening and involved in the call. Ex-BBA Star, Prezzo Wanted By Police
The incident reportedly happened on Saturday morning outside Aqua Bar in Kenya. The police it has gone to Prezzo's house but he was no where to be found as at that time.
An argument reportedly occurred between the believed 'lover' of late Goldie at the BBA house in 2012 over a parking lot.
The Gigiri Division police chief, Vitalis Otieno explained that, "when the military officer came back ready to go, an argument broke out over the parking slot which degenerated to an assault using a gun. We want him to report at Parklands"
Prezzo was reportedly prevented from further assault on the military officer by his bodyguards who dragged him into his car and drove off.
The incident left the victims unable to fly to Ethiopia on Saturday due to treatment he received at the hospital.
Nigerian Woman Stabbed To Death In London.
The 46-year-old hardworking mother was found stabbed to death at her house in Wickford, Essex around 10 am on Thursday morning. At present her 21-year-old son, Oladotun Emmanuel Kalejaiye has been charged for her murder.
Dotun was arrested by British Police minutes after the shocking discovery of his mother's battered body in her bedroom.
According to the late Tolu Kalejaiye's neighbour, she is a hardworking accountant and a very friendly woman.

The Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday raised the alarm over his safety and pleaded with President Goodluck Jonathan, to ensure that he is not killed. Amaechi said this in an interview with Sahara TV. The governor, who narrated his ordeal in hands of the police and aviation authorities since he fell out with the President, said he felt unsafe.
"I don't have an aide de camp. I don't have a chief security officer. They've withdrawn so many policemen. They've withdrawn all policemen from the commissioners. I feel unsafe. I just know that they want to kill me. Beg Mr. President to ensure that I'm not killed because I'm sure they are planning towards that."

The thread claimed the huge snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road. They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth. This is Biggest snake in the world!!
"On the third dig, the operator found there was blood amongst the soil, and with a further dig, a dying huge snake appeared," said the post.
"By the time the workers came back, the wounded boa had died, while the other snake had disappeared. The bulldozer operator was so sick that he couldn't even stand up."
The post claimed that the digger driver was so traumatised that he suffered a heart attack on his way to hospital and later died.

TERRIBLE: Rev. Father James Ani Caught In Armed Robbery
An area known as Imeohia Mmaku in Awgu LGA of Enugu State recently came under the siege of robbers cum kidnappers, who invaded the community to perpetrate their heinous crime. On the fateful day, a priest was said to have led some notorious gang of robbers/kidnappers in the deadly operation.
While the operation lasted, the gang sealed off entrances and exits to the community. Clad in a white cassock, Rev. Fr. James Ani, in company with about eight other people held the community by the jugular and laid siege on their prey for hours.
It was gathered that they combed the community to see if they could find a prime target to kidnap on which they could feed. As the siege was going on, a team of anti-robbery patrol team usually on routine checks on communities in the state was passing by and accosted the gang.
On seeing the police team, Fr. Ani reportedly commanded his 'boys' to launch offensive. Wielding dangerous weapons, the gang reportedly engaged the police team in fierce gun duel which further sent habitants of the community and travellers scampering for safety.
During the clash, Fr. Ani and his gang reportedly got hold of one Inspector Cosmas Nzeribe and a couple of his colleagues, and almost sniffed life out of them. They however bowed to the superior firepower of the law enforcement agents leading to their arrest. Before they were arrested, the hoodlums damaged the two vehicles used by the police.
In the end, Fr. Ani and three others; Ugwu Marcel, Obasi Felix and Norbert Eke were arrested and taken to custody. About five other members of the gang escaped from the scene of the attack.
In a chat with reporters, an eye witness, who identified himself as Okey, said: "I ply this road very often and I can tell you that most travellers had had harrowing experiences to share about this place. It is such a bad spot and when the robbers were arrested and we saw a supposed man of God among them, not many of us were surprised because we had experienced that before in this area. Criminals would put on cloths meant for the clergymen to rob people. Thank God, this one was caught."
At the time of his arrest, Fr. Ani claimed that he is not a robber but a priest. However, upon interrogation, he confessed to his crime, saying he was pushed into the crime due to lull in his business.
Spokesman of Enugu Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the arrest. He said "The Commissioner of Police has said it many times that there is no hiding place for criminals again in Enugu. This statement he is matching with actions which are evident in the arrest of the four suspects. Imagine someone supposed to be a man of God, being the ring leader in such a crime!"

Football Legend Lionel Messi Arrives In Court For Tax Fraud Case
Four-time FIFA footballer of the year Lionel Messi and his father Jorge arrived in a Spanish court this morning Friday September 27th to answer charges of alleged tax fraud. Messi and his father are being accused of hiding over £3.4 million by filing incomplete tax returns from 2006 to 2009.
The charges against father and son was lodged by a state prosecutor in June 2013 claiming that they tried to conceal earnings from Messi's image rights - charges they both deny.

"I never take care of that (tax) stuff myself and neither does my father," Messi said in July. "We have our lawyers and our wealth managers to take care of that and we trust them and they will sort this out. The truth is I don’t have a clue about all this and that is why we have people taking care of it."
Messi has already paid the Spanish authorities the unpaid tax he's owing plus interest (he paid £4.2m) but because tax fraud is a serious offense in Spain, he still has to make an appearance in court where the courts will determine whether the case is pursued any further.
