Jack Dorsey named Twitter CEO: Former CEO gets second run




Former Twitter Chief Executive Office Jack Dorsey has been handed the mantle for the second time, in the hope of lifting the company from the dregs.

Dorsey, who was CEO of the firm between 2007 and 2008, was ousted for leaving work early for other 
pursuits and was replaced by co-founder Evan Williams.
The company’s stock has had a torrid last 5 months, losing almost its value, and the board are hopeful that Dorsey can fix the company’s problems and expand its audience.
Dorsey had been interim CEO since former CEO Dick Costolo stepped down in July, and became permanent CEO today.
One of the challenges Dorsey faces is keeping up with the competition, with Facebook continuously growing and even Instagram now surpassing Twitter in size.
