Gold Mining in Zimbabwe

Three illegal miners believed to be brothers have died at a disused gold mine outside Gwanda town on Sunday.

The brothers were 300 metres underground, when Geelong Mine near Collen Bawn collapsed.

The mine is a restricted area with armed guards and police patrolling round the clock.

However the security officers are take bribes of up to $3,000 to allow daring panners to mine illegally.
