The Recording Industry Association of America has handed the first Platinum certification of the year to an Urban album.
After selling 8,000 copies this week Drake‘s ‘Late’ has crossed the 1 million units mark and becomes the first album to be released in 2015 to reach the enviable milestone.
The project’s platinum status make it the fourth Drake release to hit the mark following the releases of ‘Nothing Was the Same (1.72 million)‘, ‘Take Care (2.26 million)’ and ‘Thank Me Later (1.8 million.)’
