Manchester United has tabled a second offer worth €60m for wantaway Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos according to AS.

United initially submitted a €50m bid for the former Sevilla star, but were rebuffed in their first approach.United make a second offer for Ramos: The Spain international is embroiled in a contract spat with Los Blancos as his current deal is set to expire in two years and United are looking to capitalize on the conflict.

Ramos is said to be demanding €10m per year in wages, with Real Madrid unwilling to offer their vice captain anything north of a €7.5m annual salary.

United are already in negotiations with Madrid over the transfer of goalkeeper David De Gea and so have used Ramos' situation to leverage a deal that would see the defender make a move to the Premier League.
