This was a
collaborative shoot between emerging Photographer, Kenoni and Make-Up Artist,
Diolsclassic. The shoot titled ‘Imose’ was inspired by the Benin bride, which
was wonderfully executed by Diolsclassic.
According to
Diols, ‘This look "Imose" which
means "The Beautiful" in Bini language depicts a contemporary
artistry of an Edo bride in Diaspora. Adorned with coral beads, the pride of
the Edo people, I have chosen natural complimentary hues to enhance the
dignified carriage of royalty that this looks explores. I drew inspiration from
the edo heroines like Queen Idia, Emotan, Princess Evbakhabokun.’
