Zayn Malik has released his first solo effort less than a week after he announced his official departure from One Direction.
Music produce, Naughty Boy posted the demo "I Won't Mind" on Soundcloud on 30 March, along with the message: "let the music do the talking. there is nothing but love for what was left behind. thats why we don't mind.

Zayn Malik releases first solo song 'I Won't Mind' with producer Naughty Boy
The track is surprisingly stripped-down compared to singles like "La La La" featuring Sam Smith and "Lifted" with Emili Sande.
Lyrics include the lines: "We messed around until we found/the one thing we said we could never ever live without/I'm not allowed to talk about it/But I gotta tell you" and "I won't mind/You know I know you know you/You'll never be mine".
Reactions on twitter are either from One Direction fans saying they love the song or appealing for Malik to return to the band.
