Oluremi Tinubu Media Office Press Release

Victory For The People, Victory For Democracy

Dear Constituents

Months ago, when we declared the official opening of our campaign for the continuous struggle for emancipation of our people and for the defence of our 16 year democracy, I deemed it fit to reach out to you as a servant leader whose service to the people has evidently changed the concept of leadership and governance in our society, and not as a candidate.

My people, In the journey so far, it is unarguable that we recorded many hitches, ills and faring storms but in all, we walked through victoriously with your prayers, unflinching supports and unwavering strength which has ushered in a historical victory for you the people.

Your resolve and elastic supports brought us thus far and I am confident will take us further. No doubt, it has been absorbed in history that we are movers and shakers of our choices.

Saturday, 28th March through Sunday, our people decided. Following the senatorial elections held in Lagos, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially returned me, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election.

Apparently, this is the will of the People. The result of the elections is an expression of the voice of our people; we must all heed your voice.
It has been a hard fought election. In the course of the campaigns, there were grubby episodes as the candidates toured round the constituents to sell themselves to the people.

On our part, we presented our programmes before the people, and party leaders. We campaigned, we canvassed and we traversed the senatorial district. Our performance and achievements in office remains the backdrop on which we were being assessed. The decision of the people to return me as their representative is continually within cardinals of Youth empowerment, Social Security for Elderly Citizens, Improved Educational Policies and Job opportunities. We never took your support for granted. We stood by the mandate giving to us. The philosophy of our party, the All Progressives Congress is transparency, accountability and credible service to the people which you are all aware of and which has kept us stronger.

Our constituency initiatives designed to make a difference will be sustained as promised as we hope to do more.  Ultimately this has culminated into this victory. It is apparently a victory for the people and our democracy.

To members of our party, traditional institutions, our campaign team and indeed all people who defied the siege to cast their votes for our party, I salute your exemplary courage and doggedness in the bid sustaining our democracy. The best way to achieve this is by electing leaders with the heart and mind for service, and progressive minded legislature that gives a lawful backing to developmental policies.

Let me assure you all of continued value for every vote at the Senate. And of course very people oriented representation.

Thank you for believing in us and staying the course.

God Bless You

Signed

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON
Lagos Central Senatorial

After Quitting ‘One Direction’, Zayn Malik Releases First Solo Song ‘I Won’t Mind’

Zayn Malik has released his first solo effort less than a week after he announced his official departure from One Direction.

Music produce, Naughty Boy posted the demo "I Won't Mind" on Soundcloud on 30 March, along with the message: "let the music do the talking. there is nothing but love for what was left behind. thats why we don't mind. ;) #2016 #zaughty #zindabad" [Sic]

Zayn Malik releases first solo song 'I Won't Mind' with producer Naughty Boy

The track is surprisingly stripped-down compared to singles like "La La La" featuring Sam Smith and "Lifted" with Emili Sande.

Lyrics include the lines: "We messed around until we found/the one thing we said we could never ever live without/I'm not allowed to talk about it/But I gotta tell you" and "I won't mind/You know I know you know you/You'll never be mine".

Reactions on twitter are either from One Direction fans saying they love the song or appealing for Malik to return to the band.

Fashmaverick StreetStyle: How to Rock – The Uber Stylish Modern Kimono

My Designer Dreasm Kimono - BellaNaija - March 2015
The kimono is a definite Summer must-have. It’s easy, comfy and can add the perfect dose of chic to your look.
When we first heard the trend had hit the Summer streets we were a bit concerned – the traditional kimono usually comes in soft fabrics and a big & thick belt that looks quite uncomfortable. But that isn’t the case.
The modern twist on the kimono is quite the opposite. Coming in mostly light fabrics, the new and improved kimono can go from the beach to a casual day without the wardrobe change hassle.
We absolutely love this trend and that’s why we are here with a few tips to help you rock the trend well into the Summer days ahead.
Check them out!
1. Keep your outfit items to a minimumOne way the kimono is proving to be worth buying is its ability to add some ‘umph’ to your outfit. It comes in a number of lengths, colours, patterns and prints, so your outfit takes on a life of its own. With this kind of addition, you don’t need to do too much underneath so as not to overwhelm your look.
You can rock anything from a tank top to a sleeveless jumpsuit under your kimono and still look great. The key is minimalism.
Check out Sayedero Enytan of the Fashion Engineer and this lovely fashionista from the Cassie Daves.com Kimono inspiration feature showing you how.

2. When hitting the beach, a shorter length is bestKimonos come in different lengths, and this can help vary your outfit options for any occasion. But when it comes to hitting the beach, we suggest a short kimono.
As fabulous as this fashion item may seem, the kimono can be overwhelming too. With all that sun, sand and water, the last thing you want is to drag around wet sandy fabric. So keep it short for ease and comfort.
Check out beach perfect outfits on fashion bloggers – the fab Nifesimi of The Skinny Hipster and the stylish Fisayo Longe of Mirror Me.

3. Get creative with coloursEven though kimonos usually come in prints and patterns, that should not be a limitation to what colours or prints you rock it on. You can add a pop of colour like the fashionable Sai Sankoh, or rock black and white underneath like makeup artist and stylista Dodos Uvieghara of IAmDodos.
BNMyStyleSai SankohTunde K. Mason for iamdodos.com
3. For a boho-chic look, the longer the betterWe all have different looks we love – so when it comes to pulling off the boho-chic look, it is better to go for length and accents. The wide/long kimono will most likely fall down your shoulders which will give off a layered look; and a long skirt finishes the look.
You can also achieve this by adding accessories like a wide-rimmed sun hat for that Indie vibe.
We love how Agatha Ashi of Irony of Ashi made this look stand out in her black kimono and Tamika of My Designer Dreams in her red and white print kimono and long blue skirt.
IronyofAshi Kimono - BellaNaija- March 2015Cassie Daves Kimonos - BellaNaija - March 2015003
4. When it comes to jewelry, make a statementYour kimono isn’t the only thing allowed to stand out. Make an even longer lasting impression with a bold statement necklace or some dainty jewelry that pack a punch to add more fab to your look.
The jewelry will balance out your look making your look complete.
We love the print on this Zanjoo kimono, and Patricia Bright looks laid back and stylish with her double accent necklace.

5. Cover up some more with a kimonoYou know those times you want to show some skin but not too much? Well, the kimono is great for that. You can use it to reduce the parts of skin shown when rocking a cropped top or short skirt like Raschele from Cha Cha The Fashion Genius in this chic white kimono at the beach and this fun print kimono at the poolside.

Self-Driving cars: When Will they Make It To Nigeria

Carmudi predicts self-driving cars will arrive in Nigeria by 2027

31 March 2015, Lagos Nigeria - With 11 traffic related deaths per day, Nigeria is among the most deadly when it comes to driving in Africa. That startling fact, combined with rapid motorisation in Nigeria over the past few decades has meant that it is now home to some of the worst traffic jams in the world. Can Self-Driving cars be the solution?

Within a few years, cars will be able to drive themselves, at least in standard situations including driving on highways or in stop-and-go traffic. With Elon Musk announcing that the Self-Driving Tesla car will hit the US road in just three months, will we see a Self-Driving car in anytime soon? Carmudi, the easiest means to sell or buy your vehicle online, reports on when Self-Driving cars will arrive in Nigeria.

The Benefits of Self-Driving Cars
Research has found that Self-Driving cars, when introduced in the United States, could reduce crash costs by up to $488 billion USD and boost productivity by $645 billion USD. There is no reason why we shouldn't see similar benefits of the Self-Driving car being enjoyed here in Nigeria.

In addition to cutting costs, Self-Driving cars can save lives. The majority of crashes in Nigeria are caused by human error. Given that Self-Driving cars eliminate the need for human control, it follows that Self-Driving cars could reduce road traffic deaths in Nigeria by a massive 90%. This translates to 10 lives saved lives per day!

In addition to saving lives, Self-Driving cars can help solve day-to-day annoyances, including traffic. There are about 12,545,177 registered cars in Nigeria, and drivers can expect to spend up to eight working days a year stuck in gridlocks. Self-Driving cars will help combat the traffic problem by reducing the number of cars on the roads. In the United States, it is predicted that Self-Driving cars could help cut average car ownership rates by as much as 43%, from an average of 2.1 to 1.2 vehicles per household. If we apply these findings to Nigeria we would see the number of cars drop to roughly 6 million which would mean fewer gridlocks and more time spent at the workplace being productive.

The good news is that car manufacturers are already offering vehicles to the Nigeria car market that are available to purchase with autonomous features such as basic forward-collision warning systems and automatic braking systems. These safety features already contribute greatly to reducing the risk of accidents by up to 15%. And by 2020, car brands such as GM, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Nissan, BMW, Renault, Tesla and Google all expect to sell vehicles worldwide that can drive themselves at least part of the time.
In America, Google's Self-Driving car has safely driven more than 700,000 miles, and in just a few days, the Delphis Self-Driving car is set to go cross country for the first time. Meanwhile in Germany, Dobrindt announced that its first self-driving car project will hit the A9 autobahn this year.

The Self-Driving car is indeed coming to Nigeria, but it will likely get here in stages as features are added to make our cars safer, until one day we can truly take our hands off the wheel and cruise the streets of Nigeria.

She wrote on Instagram:
If you refer to Tidal as Illuminati, you are paying us the highest of compliments. Ladies, Meet The World's Hottest Math's Teacher [Photos]

Ladies and (gentlemen?), the hot human specimen you see above is a supermodel named Pietro Boselli. He looks like the regular model hunk right? probably a dumb jock… with way too much time in the gym. Well you are Wrong! Wrong! and Wrong!

Pietro is surprisingly a math teacher! According to his LinkedIn, Pietro is a “researcher” at the University College of London.
How do you get so damn hot by being a teacher? I thought all math teachers are supposed to be geeks? Anyway this guy tops it all up by also being a Phd holder.

According to his modeling page, Pietro is 26 years old, has a PhD in engineering, and was scouted by Giorgio Armani himself!
Fuse fam would you have hated math if you had him as a teacher? Think about it well. lol!

Afrocandy Slams Southerners Supporting Buhari.

Controversial “P*rnstar” Afrocandy took to her page on Social Media last night to speak on the ongoing elections.

She has a word or two for those who are supporting the All Progressive Candidate, APC, Gen. Muhammed Buhari:

I pity all these people Chanting ‘Sai Buhari’ when your name is not ‘Malam Douda’. It is clear this is a Tribal Election and Hausa people stood by their own. When the chips are down, that’s when Buhari Unfolds what he has in his Agenda, he won’t recognize your name unless it sounds like ‘ABOKI’. Then I’ll be at my Base (USA) , Sipping on ma Moet with a little Umbrella Sticking out of it. I hear some of them talking shit, for their info I am a U.S Citizen and I can decide not to Visit Nigeria again until the 8 years he will rule or even until the world ends. I got the Power to Bring my whole Family over here if they chose……Na dem go use their own heads Carryiam!
