In an exclusive interview and shoot for Wonderland magazine, Willow Smith talks art, finding herself, her music and the concept of feminity in relations to the worlds system wearing a mix of international labels.
Of all the things she said during the interview (read it here), this struck me most;
"I believe that everything that has ever happened was meant to. If you're somewhere but want to be somewhere else, you're not experiencing where you are now. Each song I put out is about where I am and need to be. I take it step by step. My goal is to spread the message of consciousness shift and paradigm shift. We need to come to a point in the world where everything is running off of love. That's what I'm trying to get to, that's what I want to do with my music."
Photographed by Thomas Whiteside and styled by Coquito Cassibba, the striking teenager wears a mix of black and white pieces from T by Wang, Christian Dior, American Apparel, MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela, Givenchy, Archives of Brian Porcell, Delfina Delettrez, a Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane jumpsuit and a black flower printed cotton jacket with embroidered pearls by Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci.
