At exactly 11am on the 6th of December, the Christmas season will be formally launched by the revolution company's play 'Stuffs Like Love'
After months of rehearsals and auditions, The Musical Comedy play is to be staged on a two storey stage
at the arts theatre, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan. Stuffs like love is a gospel play which speaks about the signs of being in wrong relationships and the implications. Stuffs like love sheds light on the lifestyles of six hostel mates, Kate, Shade, Ore, Ife, Ada and Debby… the six girls are in their final year on campus and are looking forward to make it right in their relationships.
The play is styled in a Tyler Perry stage play format, with a live band, lapel microphones, nice stage setup and other yet‐to‐be‐unveiled unique features. While speaking about the play, the Managing director of the Revolution Company, Mimiola Mofiyinfoluwa said 'the 13 casts are ready for the big show; we have three musicians to back up the music lines, and also 8 solid instrumentalists on different musical instrument like the drums, keyboard, saxophone, trumpet, percussion, lead and bass guitar.
The cast in this play are from different departments in the University of Ibadan and are top notch in talent and excellence.
The play is to run for approximately two hours and it is to be recorded into DVD Stuffs like love promises to be a great experience for the 300 audience who will be buying the N500 forms and VIP N1000 tickets from the marketing department.
The play is written and directed by Aderibigbe Thommie and created by Mimiola Fiyinfoluwa, Ezekiel Edna, Aderibigbe Thommie, Larry Amusan, Gabriel Ajuwon, Damilola oni. The cast in lead roles are Oyempemi Damilare and Ukatu Sandra, other actors include Aladekomo Funto, Nwakaihe Ifunnaya, Mbamara Onyinye, Obisanya Opemipo, Anuforo Love, Ogunlana Ayobami, Obidiegwu ikechukwu, Damilola Oni, Ajuwon Gabriel, Ogho Omo‐sowho and Thommie Aderibigbe.
