The Nigerian Presenters Award Nomination is being conducted annually by the Presenters Home in association with 1986 Reporters to recognize outstanding presenters in Nigeria and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in the country.
The awards nominations will be cut across 6 major aspects of presenting, and 27 split categories:

GENERAL CRITERIA:
To qualify, presenters must have an outstanding, credible profile and must have at least, a 1,000 fan base capacity on any social media.
27 CATEGORIES:
1. Newscaster of the Year (TV) – This is strictly for newscasters of TV stations, which transmit both on the terrestrial and satellite/Digital channels.
(Criteria: Diction, Poise, and Fashion sense)

2. Newscaster of the Year (Radio) – This category welcomes nominees from Radio stations with wider coverage and which probably have sister stations in other parts of the country.
Criteria: Good Radio voice, Good diction, and Fluency among other qualities.

3. T.v Newscaster of the Year (Indigenous) - This category welcomes male and female nominees from TV stations across East, South, West and North
Criteria: fluency in choosing language, i.e Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Pidgin English…Etc, and a Great Sense of Humour.
4.Radio Newscaster of the Year (Indigenous) - This category welcomes male and female nominees from Radio stations across East, South, West and North
Criteria: fluency in choosing language, i.e Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Pidgin English…Etc, and a Great Sense of Humour.
5. Best Female Presenter of the year
(Criteria: Diction, Poise, and good voice, receives the highest audience)
6. Best Male Presenter of the year

7. Red-carpet host of the year
(Criteria: Diction, Poise, and dress sense, guests favourite, -Male
