Mohammad Wali Takes Over From Jega as INEC Boss

Professor Attahiru Jega's tenure as INEC Chairman has come to an end today, June 30, 2015.

Jega has handed over the leadership role to the commission's National Commissioner, Ambassador Mohammad Walitoday.

Ambassador Wali, who hails from Sanyima town in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, North-West Nigeria, will end his tenure as acting chairman on August 11, 2015.
