One of the topmost satellite cable TV service providers in Nigeria, MultiChoice Africa, has launched an emerging global news and entertainment channel known as ARISE NEWS on DStv and GOtv.
Speaking at the launch, MultiChoice Managing Director, Mr. John Ugbe, explained that ARISE NEWS would be on DStv channel 416 and GOtv channel 44 respectively, saying that it will join other global news channelssuch as CNN, BBC, SKYNews, CCTV, Al Jazeera and Bloombergon the MultiChoice platforms.
"We are glad to welcome ARISE NEWS to our bouquet of news channels on DStv and GOtv," he said
"We have demonstrated over the years our support of 'Africanness'. And what better way to prove this than to celebrate as ARISE NEWS comes home to Africa through our network.
"We have no doubt that uptake will be immediate, owing to its success across countries and continents for their immediacy in breaking news about world events," he stated.
