Oh oh! Jeremy Meeks The Mug Shot Hottie Lands Hollywood Talent Agent

Jeremy Meeks, the #HottieThug, who made headlines across the globe after the Stockton, California Police Department posted his mug shot on Facebook, hits it big.

According to Fox News, Gina Rodriguez who has helped careers of "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham, Nadya "Octomom" Suleman and V. Stiviano – the woman at the centre of Donald Sterling scandal, will represent the 30-year-old convicted felon.

"Everybody has a story, and I, of all people, know that," she says of Meeks' run in with the law.

"The types of personalities that I work with are usually the people who are under fire by the media. But we don't know Jeremy's full story yet, and I don't feel like he got a fair break. I really don't. If we can help him in any way with his future and help him turn his life around, that's what I'm about. That's what I want to do for him." she says,

Nollywood Actress Eniola Badmus Clears The Air About Fighting colleague Funke Akindele, Thanks City People For Award

Star actress, Eniola Badmus has denied ever fighting Funke Akindele, stating that the rumours that they are fighting have no grounds and are baseless. She also thanked her fans for voting her as the best actress at the just held City People Entertainment Awards in Ikeja.

" I am so excited to win this award because I never expected it, more so this is my first award ever. Even if I don't win this award, I feel highly honoured to be recognised among others in the industry. It is not easy to be on the nominees' list of City People, let alone winning it. I appreciate the organisers and my fans who took their time and money to vote for me. May God be with you all. I dedicate this award to my 83-year-old father, Badoosky, who at age 83 is still kicking . I am also giving this to my colleagues, like Femi Adebayo, Toyin Aimakhu, Funke Akindele and others.

"Let me say here that the rumour that I and Funke Akindele are in a serious cold war is not true. I can never engage in a fight with her because she is a strong pillar behind me in the industry. She brought me into the industry, and I have featured in so many movies through her before my name got registered in people's minds. So, why should I be fighting with her? Moreso, what would have warranted that? We are not fighting, we are in good terms".

“Super Eagles Can Make History Today In Brazil” - Nigerian Super Eagles Coach

Coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles team has shared his optimism and trust in his boys performing more and securing a place in the quarter finals at the on-going World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

Last year he became the first black African coach to have won the Africa Cup of Nations in 21 years, and last Wednesday he helped Nigeria secure a place in the round of 16 at Brazil 2014.

The former Nigeria captain said. "For me, my team and country come before any personal glory.
"That we made the second round and are able to achieve this against all odds is all that matters."
There have been suggestions in some quarters that Keshi's achievement in winning the Nations Cup and taking his team to the knock-out stages has not been given the value it should by the international media.
"What is important is to focus on what lies ahead – not Stephen Keshi and his record," Keshi said.

Nigeria is billed to face the French National team for only the second time at senior level on Monday in Brasilia. In their previous clash, the Super Eagles beat France 1-0 in a friendly in Saint Etienne in June 2009, but Keshi says it will be a different ball game against the French as Nigeria aim to equal Africa's all time best.

"We are not bothered about the past but only interested in this present day," Keshi added."My boys know what I expect and our opponents will not make life easy for them. "The Super Eagles have never made it to the quarterfinals so they can make history of their own.

"There's no motivation bigger than that."
Keshi is one of only two men who has won the Nations Cup as a player and a coach – the other being Egypt's Mahmoud El-Gohary.

Greece Football Team Turns Down World Cup Bonus

The Greece 2014 World Cup squad have practically surprised the world after they politely turned down a bonus from their Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, for reaching the knockout phase for the first time in the famous tournament's history.

Instead, these guys requested that the cash be used to build a brand-spanking new training centre for the national side so that they can continue to provide better results for their country.

A very brief letter signed by all the 23 players, according to NewsBomb.gr,
read:

"We do not want extra bonus, or money. We only play for Greece and its people. All we want is for you to support our effort to find a land and create a sports center that will house our national team ".

Compare and contrast this to all the teams threatening not to represent their countries well over bonus rows.

Nollywood Actress Uche Ogbodo Dumped Sick Husband In Hospital

It is common knowledge that many so called big girls today are only interested in a man when all is well with him and he can spoil them with money and expensive gifts. Once the man suffer any mishap, no matter the fact that it is temporary, they will run. And this is even more rampant among Nollywood babes.

From latest information coming out in actress Uche Ogbodo's marriage break up saga, it appears she dumped her husband because the man is battling with some challenges. Uche had told SDK that the man lied to her and she even claimed that he never married her, adding "we did only introduction".

But the man, who is based abroad, has just went through a brain surgery and he is still recovering. He almost cried when he heard all that the actress he married as his wife said about him. Details below…

According to SDK, Ato, her now estranged husband, is presently recovering from brain surgery, his friends said his only mistake was falling in love with "a wrong woman" in the person of Uche Ogbodo.

The man's father, a Pastor, said he was shocked when he heard Uche's lies. His words:

"We went to her village and paid the bride price and after that she was still bearing her fathers name, I dont know why she didnt change it. If she is saying now that she is not married then she has divorced herself. Marriage is not by force. I am the father of Ato and I am telling you now that what she told you is a lie.

I am a servant of God and I cannot tell lies, if she is saying that "she is not married that means she has rejected us. if she has problems with my son this is the wrong way to go about it but we leave it all to God. I am a veteran Journalist, thank you for balancing this story by calling us because we were shocked when people started calling us to say Uche has denied marrying our son."

Ekiti People: Your Future For A Bag Of Rice By Perry Brimah

Before you read this, I want to let you know that Ayo Fayose's wife already saw a revelation that her husband is re-elected as Governor of Ekiti State and we knows that in Ekiti such things are real.

Written by Perry Brimah

So you sold your future for a bag of rice. You voted in a candidate, because of a 20lbs bag of grain.

You mortgaged the next four years, once again for 50 cups of rice. You re-established your lack of opportunity and lack of employment for life, for that sack. You signed-off to it that your nation will not have power, water, security and the simplest things almost all nations have, because you were going home that day with some mudu's of Oryza Sativa.

You gave victory to...
Boko Haram and armed robbers, pirates, kidnappers, corrupt officials, and every other stinking facet of society, just for a one-time 50 handfuls of rice, beggars dose.

You volunteered to be hungry for most of four years, once again, that you be full for ten days with that bag.

You decided to condemn your neighbor, your friends, your elders, the young and even your enemies to suffering for four more years that you may eat jollof for ten days.

I have just one question for you? I am not even asking how will you feel after you have eaten and passed-on the rice by the next week.

My question is - how will you feel if that bag fell off your head on your way home and all the rice mixed with dotti (dirt)?

Nigerians Are Bunch Of Hypocrites - Actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe

Nollywood actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe has said Nigerians are way behind in thinking and wonders if it is a crime to sell sex toys. While speaking to Sun Newspaper, Bisi said Nigerians pretend a lot about their sex lives and even though she mostly sells men and female underwear, she wonders if it is a crime to sell sex toys too.  Hear her;

If I sell sex toys so what? Nigerians are a bunch of hypocrites. They make issues out of non-issues. When I travelled to London I saw some newly wedded couples buying sex toys but back here, Nigerians believe that those that buy sex toys are harlots. In fact, there is dignity in the use of sex toys. I am not into the sales of only sex toys but there is a big market for them."

How Pupils In Oyo Community School Are Forced To Drink Cattle Urine - PUNCH

Found this shocking and long report in PUNCH and just had to share it here! In Opoo, a remote community at the outskirts of Okaka in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, life is a different mix for Abiola Bankole and her two little siblings – Yemi and Ibukun. Their school, Community Primary School Opoo, boasts only three classrooms with no basic facilities to support any meaningful academic exercise. Two out of the three classrooms have their roof completely blown off by the wind while the only surviving one shared by the entire school of about 150 pupils is half way from finally caving. More than half of the schools population wear mufti to classes because their parents cannot afford uniforms. Many of the children carry their books to school in sacks or with their bare hands. Not only that, pupils drink water mixed with cattle urine and faeces as the only source of water in community is shared by both animals and human begins. For the three siblings and dozens of their little colleagues in this tiny agrarian community, there is nothing to dream about in the future.
The harsh environment they live in and the terrible condition under which they learn at this dilapidated school building rob them of the frills that come along with formative years. "We have encountered a lot of problems in this place especially on the bad condition of the school," Ojelabi David Abioye, headmaster of the school, explained to our correspondent. "We have taken a lot of pictures to the local government and written several letters yet nothing has been done about this. They have promised us several times to do something about the situation but it is still the same.

"Last week, we were also at the local government office to complain to them because there is almost nowhere left for the pupils to learn. The only classroom the entire school is managing at the moment is gradually being taken over by termites and other dangerous animals that are destroying the entire building and the little furniture in it. Whenever there is heavy wind and storm, we can't stay in the classroom because the remaining roof might collapse on us," he said.

Abioye, who became head-teacher of the school about 17 years ago, told Saturday PUNCH that the present situation is making learning almost impossible for the children of Opoo and surrounding settlements who are serviced only by the school. Giving an insight into how bad things really are, Abioye revealed that himself and one other teacher, Julius Solola, are the only ones teaching the entire school of around 150 pupils because government has refused to post in more hands to assist them. The workload, he says, is neck-breaking. "Government has not employed teachers for a long time and that is why the situation is very bad at the moment. The other teacher (Solola) joined me here nine years ago and we have been doing the job of about 10 people alone. We used to be three here but one person was transferred to another school outside this locality.

"Personally, I have lodged several complaints at the local government office but all they tell me is that the government has not taken a stand on our case, that until that is done, nothing will happen. "This is really affecting the pupils because the environment is not conducive for any form of learning. In fact, most times we have to bring out benches and desks for some pupils to be taught under a tree outside the school building while the others manage to learn in the only classroom. There is no library or any modern equipment with which to teach the pupils. "Once it starts raining, we ask all the children to go home because the roof is very bad. For that day, that will be the end of studies," he said. The size of each of the classroom is only a few yards larger than the space inside most commercial buses in Lagos and other major Nigerian cities, our correspondent observed during the visit. Pupils squeeze themselves into less than 15 desks in the only surviving classroom while several others watch the teacher from the corridor, leaving a sizable number to sit on the bare floor under the orange tree outside the school building, waiting for their turns to be taught in the classroom. While teaching was going on, two pupils from Basic One engaged in a scuffle, attracting the attention of the headmaster who whipped them lightly for distracting the rest of the class.

Shortly, pupils from Basic One and Two who had been sharing the only one class at the same time were asked to move out for their seniors in Basic Five to come in for their turn. On other days, the three categories are taught at the same time crammed into different rows inside the same classroom. The commotion of having at least 100 pupils in this tiny room at the same time on such days can best be imagined. Screaming, crying and distraction of all forms are always the situation. The pupils can hardly concentrate in a classroom whose temperature is far below normal, leaving many of them drenched in sweat while the two teachers attend to them the best way they can. Following the jam-packed nature of the class when Saturday PUNCH correspondent visited, many of the pupils looked worn out and very stressed by the time they came out of the classroom. The situation is not peculiar to this particular day; it is a familiar scenario which now threatens the academic and wellbeing of the young pupils.

Also, the once vibrant and well-stocked health centre established only in 2007 now lays prostrate. Overgrown by weeds and taken over by insects and dangerous reptiles, it is a pale shadow of its former self. Expectant mothers on the verge of delivery are either rushed to hospital on motorcycle, if it's available, or escorted on foot to the nearest town seven kilometers away. Some mothers have not been able to survive this tough test, community leaders told Saturday PUNCH. The babies had come too quickly along the bumpy and narrow road leading into the settlement just before their mothers got to the nearest hospital or received any medical help. It is a similar experience for sick indigenes of the area that have mostly relied on local herbal concoctions or had to make the long trip outside Opoo to get medical help. "One of our pregnant women almost died recently while we were taking her to the hospital in the next town," Orimatanmi Aderounmu, head of Opoo community told our correspondent. "It was late in the evening and we could not get a motorcycle on time to rush her down, so she delivered along the road.

Thank God one of our women had little experience in this aspect; she was the one who assisted in the delivery of the child before a nurse came in the following day to look at her and the child. "We are really suffering. The lack of a functional health centre or hospital is really affecting us. Whatever happens to us here, we have to go all the way to Okaka to get medical attention. "Personally I have been to the local government office several times to let them know what we are passing through but nobody seems concerned with our situation. I let them know that we are too many in this settlement not to have a good health facility with drugs and doctors to attend to our medical needs. But nobody is ready to listen to our cries. "The health centre we have here has been closed down since last October. Before that time, the doctor and other medical staff used to be on ground on regular basis and the hospital was regularly supplied with drugs. But since that time, we have been left to suffer," he said. Chronic typhoid fever, constant stomach upset and rheumatism are among the major sicknesses prevalent here. But the lack of potable water in the entire community now leaves many residents and especially children at the mercy of an even more dangerous disease. They are at risk of cholera and an epidemic outbreak. Opoo's only water source is a shallow hole that springs forth dirty water.

It is shared by both humans and cattle. The pupils wait for cattles to drink, urinate and pass out their faces before they take same water to drink. When our correspondent visited the site, Fulani women were seen washing dirty clothes directly into the water source just moments before children from the settlement arrived to fetch water. It is a practice that has gone on for a long time but now puts many households in this locality in grave danger. "If you see the water we drink, then you will understand why there are so many sicknesses in this community,"

Aderounmu cuts in. "We are suffering from typhoid and many of the children are always complaining of stomach pains. "The Fulanis take their cattles to the only source of water we are managing to drink here. In the process, the cattles urinate and defecate inside the water. But because we don't have a choice, we wait for them to finish before fetching water from the place. The water is not good at all but since government has refused to help us, we have to keep managing it like that." Like many tiny agrarian communities tucked away in remote parts of the country, Opoo and neighbouring settlements are yet to taste electricity supply. The people rely on a few transistor radios for latest information in the country. Mobile phones are mostly out of reach as a result of drained batteries.

"Only one person has generator in this place. It is only when he has petrol to put it on that we can charge our phones, if not we give anybody going to Okaka to charge for us. This is how we have been surviving over the years," Aderounmu told our correspondent. Indeed, life in this tiny Oyo settlement is a mix of pains, sufferings and neglect. It is a case of flagrant deprivation in the face of crushing and widespread poverty.

Predominantly farmers with little or no education, many adults have grown up the hard and tortuous way. The community's only school established in 1997 to connect their children to a world of limitless opportunities which education offers is now a thin line away from total collapse while the hospital in the centre of the town is a distant contrast from what it used to be. Unless relevant authorities and corporate organisations quickly rise to the occasion, little children like Abiola and Yemi might watch their dreams fizzle into thin air while sick residents could be swallowed by an impending epidemic hovering upon Ooo.

Oooopz! TV Popular Presenter Denrele Edun Talks Marriage, Describes His Kind Of Woman

While a lot of people would think the last person who would talk about marriage would be Denrele. But in this interview with Tribune, 31-year old Denrele admits family and friends have been asking him when he will settle down and Yes Denrele says he is willing to settle down. His only challenge is that he has not found the right woman. Interestingly, he described the kind of woman he wants; a woman always on heels and a woman people can not boss around especially her family.

What he told Tribune:

Q: Why haven't you found the right person yet?

A: I think when that time comes, I will marry. I have been into many relationships. I have dated girls who would want to do anything I tell them. I want a woman who can hold her own. I don't want a woman who cannot make dialogue with me. I don't want a woman who will want to change me because she should already know who Denrele is. I don't want to hear, "my father said you cannot dress like that" I will be like, "Oya, come and carry your witch and go. And return me my bride price before you go". I want a woman who is not pretentious, hypocritical or a fame seeker. I want someone who is original. I want somebody I can go to the salon together (with) to make our hair; who wouldn't mind if people are talking. I love a woman that can wear heels. It may sound flimsy. I love girls on heels. This is why I have always had a thing for models. If my wife cannot wear heels...

Q: You wear heels yourself sometimes.

A: Yes, I wear heels. There is something about heels that gives a woman extra elegance.

Q: Here you are talking about marriage, while people have described you as gay. What do you have to say?

A: I'm aware of it. In fact, a lot of people have come with different terminologies for my sexual preference. They have labelled me homosexual, heterosexual. Some have said I am bi-sexual, asexual. I think I am a sexual outlaw; that is the best way to describe it. Am I gay? I am a sexual outlaw. Gbam!

Nigerian Singer Tiwa Savage Loses Her Cool At The MMIA Airport

Looks like the delectable artiste and rave of the moment, Tiwa Savage is a no-nonsense lady who doesn't seem to spare anybody who angers her. Cos Punch is reporting that at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport last Monday, Saturday Beats watched how Tiwa descended on a member of staff of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company who she said was "rude" to her.

The Eminado crooner, looking chic in her black and white ensemble, was seen arguing and quarrelling with the NAHCO staff and her action drew a little crowd. The NAHCO lady was unfazed
by Tiwa's fame and didn't allow her to intimidate her as she told the people around that she wasn't rude to Tiwa.
"I was not rude to her. I only told her to go and board since she had checked in her luggage. I wonder how that could mean that I was rude to her," Saturday Beats overheard the NAHCO staff saying.
Not giving the lady another look, Tiwa eventually entered the boarding gate alongside her colleagues.
Tiwa and some other Nigerian artistes, Saturday Beats gathered, were on their way to Mauritius on board an Emirate flight.

Recall that it was reported few months ago that the singer had an encounter with a policeman and she allegedly removed his beret from his head.

According To TMZ Singer Chris Brown May Be Getting His Own Reality TV Show

According to a new report on TMZ, singer Chris Brown could be joining the list of Hollywood stars with reality TV shows as BET is gunning to air one! The show will be based on his life after jail and Chris trying to stay on the right path.

Read TMZ's report:

BET is gunning to air a Chris Brown reality show ... and they've already held focus groups to find out if viewers will flock to their sets or stay away.

Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... BET has made it clear to several production companies ... the network would absolutely air a Chris Brown reality series, chronicling his life after jail. We're told several production companies are angling to sign Chris, but so far that hasn't happened.  If it does, we're told the show will get on the air.
A focus group was held Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley ... asking participants if they'd watch a reality show in which Chris tries to stay on the straight and narrow -- free from violence and drugs. We're told the group -- comprised entirely of African American females -- was split, but the majority said they'd watch to see if Chris would screw up.

‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ Host Frank Edoho Reveals His ’2′ Memorable Moments As The Host Of The TV Show

Frank Edoho has hosted the popular and longstanding 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM)' TV game show for ten years. As Nigeria celebrates the show's ten-year landmark, Frank shared his memorable moments on the show.

WWTBAM is already 10 years. Considering the fact that many TV game shows didn't last this long, how would you describe the game show, with respect to its consistency?

Well, the major factor that has made the show consistent for ten years, are the people behind it; they pay attention to details. The producers always say we should adopt the strategy of continuous improvement, and that's what we have been doing. Every time a season ends, we do a review.  We tell ourselves that we are doing well, but we could be better. So, in which areas do we need to do more work? We do a post mortem of the penultimate season and we use that as a benchmark for the next show. It is very challenging because many people have been watching this show for ten years and the show has become a template. We try to tweak the variables of the show, so that every season turns out to be like a brand new season.

Could you share some of the memorable moments you have had as the producer of WWTBAM?

I have two memorable moments; the first was when Aruoma Ufodike clinched the ultimate prize of ten million naira. WWTBAM is designed to safeguard fraud. I see the questions for the first time when everyone is seeing it. I don't have fore knowledge of the questions, for security reasons. Also, my demeanor will show that I am seeing the question for the first time. And when the questions pop up, the answer is not there. So when I see the question and the options, sometimes I am mulling in my head, what the answer is. So the day the ten million naira was won, I knew the answer to the question, but I had to keep my composure because I knew we were on the brink of history.

I had a dead pan expression on my face, a poker face that I had developed for the past ten years. The guy phoned a friend, the friend said he was one hundred percent sure, that was the answer.  Aruoma said he trusts his friend, so I locked it in and said you know if you are wrong, you stand to lose N4.75m. The guy said ok. So I locked it in and he won N10m! The episode where I had the other memorable moment was not aired. The contestant was acting like he had mental issues. I will ask him a question; he will stare right into my eyes and ask me the same question, instead of responding with an answer. Initially, I thought he was trying to be funny, but after a while, I knew something was amiss. Those were the two moments.

Woman Caught With Missing Neighbours 6-Yr-Old Son Tied In A Box

A six-year-old boy, Emmanuel Emeka, who was rescued from a suspected kidnapper on Wednesday in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, has recounted how he was lured, seized and tied up by his abductor.

Emmanuel said the suspect, identified as Mama Ifunaya, who was a neighbour, lured him into her room, strangled him, covered his mouth with clothes before tying him up with rope to prevent him from screaming.

"I wanted to draw water and take my bath before going to school when she told me to come. I went because I know her; she is Mama Ifunnaya. But when I got to her side, she threw me inside her room… she closed her net. She then tied me and put me inside a box. "I wanted to shout, but I could not shout properly. I heard my mummy's voice when she was looking for me, but I could not shout. She (pointing to the suspect) is a wicked person."The victim was kidnapped at the Ologede, Majidun, Ikorodu area. He was said to have been rescued by a mob, which equally beat up the suspect to a pulp. The mother of four was said to have led the mob to a church, saying a prophet sent her to bring the boy.

Punch correspondent reported that the mob forced their way into a house near the church, but discovered that the prophet had fled. They were said to have found in the house photographs of previously missing people, mats and calabashes containing unknown substances, including a mentally-challenged man.

The victim's mother, Mrs. Gloria Emeka, who explained that she never suspected her neighbour because while she was searching for her child, the suspect was in her room with her children praying and shouting "holy ghost fire."

She said she later discovered it was a ploy to prevent her from hearing Emmanuel's screams."Later, we saw her leaving the house with a box on her head. She said she was travelling. It was my landlady that challenged her why she could go out when everybody was busy searching for Emmanuel. "The landlady asked her to stop, but she suddenly increased her pace and started running. That was how the landlady shouted, 'kidnapper, kidnapper', and people ran after her."

The box was said to have fallen, and when it was opened, the missing boy was found in it.

EVIL: Tricycle Operator Sells His One-Day-Old Son For N500,000

A middle-aged man was paraded by the police in Abia State on Thursday for allegedly selling his one-day-old son.

Ogbonna Chukwudi , 27, a tricycle operator and resident of Cool Park Street, Ogbo Hill, Aba, allegedly sold his only son few hours after his wife put to birth in a private birth centre also in Ogbo Hill. And according to the Police Commissioner, Adamu Ibrahim, the suspect had arranged with the nurse who operated the centre and a buyer was contacted.

He said:
"The incident took place on June 18, 2014. Luck, however, ran out on them when the wife woke up and sought to see her baby. She was told by the husband that the baby was dead and had been buried."The commissioner said trouble ensued when the wife insisted that the grave of her baby must be shown to her which made the man threatened to kill her. A neighbour who overheard them alerted the policemen who intervened and later arrested the man and the accomplice-nurse, one Amarachi Chiamaka.

Further investigations, according to police led to the tracking down of the buyer .

"A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a tricycle operator and was conveying the woman to a nearby bush where he intended to kill her," the commissioner said. He added that investigations were still on to recover the baby. But the suspect, who confessed to the crime, blamed it on poverty. He added that his friend who sold the son for him shortchanged him as he (the friend) only gave him N140,000 out of the N500,000 proceed and bolted away with the balance. There was, however, a mild drama as the nurse insisted that the deal was with the consent of the mother of the baby, adding that she had also previously sold her first baby. But the young woman denied the allegation, raining curses on the nurse.

She also tried to absolve her husband of any blame, heaping everything on the nurse. Unknown to her, the husband had already admitted his wrongs earlier while chatting with journalists. When she was told that her husband had confessed to the crime she became silent.

Meriam Ibrahim's Brother Vowed To Kill Her After He Heard Of Her Release

Meriam Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death in Sudan for refusing to become a Muslim has been dramatically freed. Sudan's court of cassation had thrown out Meriam's death sentence and freed her after a presentation by her legal team, only for her to get rearrested again over a travel document and then later freed again.

Now, according to an update on DailyMail, the night Meriam was released, the man who claimed to be her brother had gone to Meriam's prison in Khartoum and upon discovering she had been freed, flew into a rage and vowed to kill her.

Al-Samani al-Hadi told CNN on Tuesday:

The family is unconvinced by the court's decision. We were not informed by the court that she was to be released; this came as a surprise to us. The law has failed to uphold our rights. This is now an issue of honour. The Christians have tarnished our honour, and we will know how to avenge it.'Also speaking to a Sudanese paper, al-Samani al-Hadi, said that Meriam had been 'kidnapped' from the family who she should have been returned to, not her husband. He is the same guy that said Meriam should be executed if she refuses to return to their faith.

Meanwhile, Meriam is now set to fly to South Sudan and from there on to America where she could start a new life with her kids and husband. Campaigners however have urged caution and said that they will wait until Meriam actually gets out of Sudan before celebrating.

"We §ell Human Parts To Christian And Muslim Clerics ," ─ Suspect Reveals

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a gang of human parts traders who were allegedly plying their "business" in several markets in Lagos.
The four-man gang, who were arrested by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, are Olakunle Ogunsola, Oyebamiji Olalekan, Rasheed Opeyemi and Akorede Wasiu.Olakunle, 26-year-old who hails from Ilaro in Ogun State, confessed that he had sold human parts to Christian and Muslim clerics in the past.

He told Punch...

"I usually sell herbs at the Ile Epo Market. It was one Waheed Ajigbotoloun that introduced selling human parts to me. That was just last year October. He was my supplier too, and he told me he used to get them from Joju Cemetery in Sango Ota, Ogun State. "I didn't always buy the human parts except when there was a request for them from my customers. Upon request, I have bought human skulls and meat from him for my customers. Some of them are pastors, imams, and native doctors too.

I have sold human parts to two pastors this year, but I cannot remember the names of their churches."The first pastor I sold to is based in Sango Otta, Ogun State. He paid me N24,500 for the parts. The clerics use these to make their congregations move forward. I also use some of the parts to make charm powder.I am not the only seller in the market. There is also one Lukman, who we popularly call Oosa. But since I started, I have bought only six human skulls."

Olakunle claimed to have finished from the Lagos State University in February 2013 where he studied Accounting. He added that he financed his university education with proceeds from the sale of herbs and human parts
Forty-year-old Oyebamiji who hails from Ibadan, Oyo State, also confessed to have sold human parts to many people.

"I have been a trader at the Oja Oba Market for the past three years. It is not that I sell only human parts. However, each of the part I sold went for between N6,000 and N7,000. The supplier told me he was getting them from the cemetery. I have sold five to six pieces. I know it was wrong to do this, but I was looking for money."

For Opeyemi, who is a 51-year-old native doctor from Ikirun, Osun State, he bought the human parts to cure one of his patients in the past.

"I am an Alhaji and also a star reader. I had called prayers several times at a mosque in the Ajegunle. I used the human parts only once for the treatment of one of my patients. The boy was cured and I never bought human parts from anyone again," he said.

Former Banker Who Specializes In Diverting Western Union Remittances Arraigned By EFCC

A former banker with one of the old generation banks, Oreoluwa Adesakin, was on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, arraigned before Justice O.M Olagunju of an Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, on a 15-count charge bordering on stealing by fraudulent conversion, contrary to Section 390 (8) (C) Cap 38 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The accused person who was in charge of Western Union Money Transfer at First Bank Nigeria Plc, allegedly used her office  to convert a total sum of $ 368,203.00(Three Hundred and Sixty Eight Thousand, Two Hundred and Three United States Dollars)  for her personal use.

She allegedly perpetrated the fraud, by using her position and office to raise vouchers for payment of money in excess of what was meant for customers of the bank.  Investigations showed that, Adesakin used the money to acquire landed properties in Ibadan and to float a company: Empathy Trade and Investment Company, Limited.

One of the charge reads:  "that you Oreoluwa Adesakin on or about the 23rd day of October, 2012 at the Bola Ige Market Branch of First Bank, Ibadan, within the Ibadan Judicial Division, whilst being a Cashier at Bola Ige Market Branch of First Bank Plc in charge of Western Union Money Transfer Operations,  fraudulently converted the sum of $4,500 (Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars) property of First Bank Plc via Western Union Money Transfer payment, Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) 733437 to your personal use".

When the charges were read to the accused person, she pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In view of her plea, prosecuting counsel, Zainab Ettu asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the accused person in prison custody. But the defense counsel, Samuel Adeniji, informed the court that he had placed an application for bail before it and prayed that the accused person be remanded in EFCC custody.

This prayer was opposed by Ettu, who reminded the court that the EFCC did not have an office in Ibadan. "Besides, the proper place of custody after arraignment is the prison", she said.

Justice O.M Olagunju after listening to both counsel, fixed July 1, 2014 for the hearing of bail application and ordered that the accused person be remanded in Agodi prison, Ibadan.
