57 Year Old Vice Principal Arrested for Allegedly Raping 12 Year Old Student in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arrested a 57-year-old Vice-Principal of St. Mary Girls College, Ikole Ekiti, Mr. Ayo Ajayi, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old pupil of the school inside his office.

Our correspondent gathered that the pupil had gone to the office of the vice-principal on March 18 and she did not come out as quickly as expected. This was said to have fueled the suspicion of some teachers. One of the teachers, who reported the case to the police, was said to have moved closer to the door to open it but discovered that the door had been locked from inside.

She was said to have knocked on the door and the pupil and the suspect allegedly hurriedly stopped what they were busy doing inside. The demeanour of the VP and the pupil was said to have given them away and one of the teachers reported the case to the police. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Victor Babayemi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday. He said the vice principal was arrested and investigation into the case had begun. The statement read, "Operatives of the Command arrested one Ayo Ajayi, aged 57 years, the Vice-Principal of St. Mary Girls College, Ikole-Ekiti, for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old pupil.

"The incident, which allegedly took place on  March 18, 2014, inside the vice-principal's office, was reported to the police by a teacher in the school, who noticed the suspicious entry of the pupil into the VP's office. "Investigation revealed that the suspect had a similar case in the past which was not reported.

The victim also admitted that the suspect laid her on his table and had carnal knowledge of her. "The report of the medical examination confirmed that the victim's hymen was not intact. Although, the suspect denied the allegation, but with the evidence against him, he will soon be arraigned in court for defilement."

'Kill Public Officials Who Steals Above N1million' – TUC President

President of the TUC, Bobboi Kaigama during a lecture at the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife yesterday, recommended the death penalty for any public official who is indicted in any financial crime above N1million.

During his lecture which was titled "'Corruption and challenges in nation-building', Kaigama said tougher sanctions such as his suggestion would make the government's crusade against corruption more sincere

"If the governments and legislators are truly sincere about the fight against corruption in the country, they must go tougher. Any public official, whether at the state or federal level, should be executed. Killing them after confirmation of any embezzlement allegation of more than N1m will lead us to the right path.

"I sincerely recommend an active process of legislation that would support that. It would also serve the nation well to have a law which not only provides for every public office holder to declare his assets on assuming office, but also stipulate that he must repeat the exercise each subsequent year that he is in office and not later than one month after vacating the office. Such declaration should be in at least three newspapers and not just to the Code of Conduct Bureau." he said

He advocated for public officer's to be compelled to declare their assets when they assume office as well as get banned from occupying any political office if found guilty of any corruptible act.

Who agrees with him?

Nigerian Pleads Guilty To U.S. Charges Of Aiding Al Qaeda Group

A Nigerian citizen pleaded guilty on Tuesday to U.S. charges of providing material support to an al Qaeda affiliate, and participating in its media and recruitment campaigns.

Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi, 33, appearing before a federal judge in Brooklyn, New York, pleaded guilty to providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. The plea came ahead of a July 14 trial date and followed a Nigerian court's decision in August to grant a U.S. request for Babafemi's extradition. Prosecutors said that, from January 2010 to August 2011, Babafemi traveled from Nigeria to Yemen twice to meet with leaders of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, known as AQAP.

"The defendant traveled to Yemen to put himself at the disposal of a violent terrorist organization that has repeatedly demonstrated its determination to inflict bodily and economic harm on the United States and its citizens," Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch said in a statement.
The U.S. government said Babafemi worked on AQAP's media operations, including the publication of its magazine, called "Inspire."

The group's leadership, including Anwar al-Awlaki, paid Babafemi almost $9,000 to recruit English-speaking people from Nigeria, prosecutors said. Awlaki, a U.S. citizen born in New Mexico, was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen in 2011.

An indictment unsealed in February 2013 charged Babafemi, also known as "Ayatollah Mustapha," with four counts including conspiracy to provide material support to AQAP, and use of firearms. U.S. District Judge John Gleeson scheduled sentencing for August 27. Babafemi faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.

"Shut Up And Stop Hitting On 'Light Skinned People' - Stephanie Henshaw's Daughter Writes Lupita Nyong'o

Jessica Henshaw is the daughter of  Pastor Chris Okotie's estranged wife, Stephanie Henshaw.

A few weeks back, the world's most beautiful woman according to People, Lupita Nyong made a very beautiful speech where she condemned bleaching creams and insisted that black is beautiful.

Well light skinned Jessica is not pleased and here's what she has to say:

"A lot of women just have very low self esteem. It's not about being light or dark skinned even a man who likes light skinned girls wouldn't date a zombie looking light skinned girl just because she is light skinned which mean we all recognize real beauty no matter the shade it comes in.

If you choose to be dark skinned please be dark skinned and happy with it and stop criticizing people for lightening their skin to make yourself feel better.

If you are dark skinned and you don't feel beautiful that's your problem. All I'm saying is life is too short not to be comfortable in your own skin.  Tone your skin, in fact bleach it if you want the consequences are on you. If you choose to be dark skinned that's also on you.

In my opinion a lot of women who vent at light skinned people only do it because they are insecure if not they would just mind their business and focus on other world threatening issues.

How many Nigerians die from skin cancer anyway with all the noise people make about it? I like lupita and I think she's gorgeous but I think she should just shut up with the skin color issue and stop acting so crude. It's a civilized era black people should make better speeches without talking about race and akin tone. A lot of dark skinned women have broken grounds right from time."

Nollywood Veteran Actress,Rachel Oniga Opens Up On How She Felt After Her Husband Left Her For Another Woman

Veteran Actress, Rachael Oniga  needs no introduction when it comes to screen entertainment. On her recent interview with The Entertainer, she opened up on old wounds that affected her separation from her ex husband who is late now. Rachael has always dreamt of being a singer and dancer during her early years but ended up studying computer programmer in school. She has featured both in English and Yoruba movies. Read below...

Talking bout her separation, she said:
"I started acting in 1993 after I got separated from my husband; he's late now. I was a full time housewife. I believed so much in myself, and when I got over the shock of the separation and all that, I made up my mind that I was going to make a statement without a man. I wanted to prove that a hard working woman could make an impact and with God's grace, I have come a long way.

Talking about how she handled separation from her ex husband, she said:
"The truth is that when you are focused and you know where you are going to, you are likely to succeed. I made up my mind then that I wasn't going to remarry. I was determined to make it and make all men including my late husband know that with God by her side, a woman can make it in life without a man's support."

On how her separation hurts her:
"Yes. During our years of courtship and marriage, I never suspected that we would just break up like that or anything could ever come between us. Back then, he told me everything. I could tell you where he was at every moment; I trusted him so much.

Revealing more on when she finally met her husband's mistress, she said:
"It was later, much later and when I did I was like 'did he leave me because of this thing?' I don't know how to put it but men don't really appreciate what they have until they lose it.

Advising women in similar situations, she said:
"Just believe in yourself and with hard work, you will get there. God is always faithful. I killed my emotions and I said to myself 'Rachael, your kids must go to the best schools.' It was just work and my children.

Naval Officer Brutalizes Innocent Man, Damages Car In Lagos

On Friday 25th of April 2014 at about 6.10pm, in front of Silverbird Galleria Ahmadu Bello,Victoria Island Lagos, where I was trying to park in a space pre-occupied by another car hence I needed to wait for him to move so I can occupy the empty space.

Apparently, a naval Toyota Hilux was behind me all the while then found a way to move from behind me to my side and I was asked by one naval personnel occupying the passenger's seat what I was doing on the spot, then I replied that I was waiting for the car in front of me to move out of the car-park space so that I can park. The naval personnel abruptly got down from the Hilux and tried to pull me out of the car then he slapped me, tore my shirt and then kicked the door with his boots on - to my surprise he also kicked and broke the glass of the driver's seat which I occupy.

While he was harassing me, the other naval officer who drove came down and was trying to pacify the former naval personnel perpetrating all these nefarious acts but he refused and made sure he broke the glass of the car then they both immediately got into the Hilux zoomed off...

At this point I was devastated and felt cheated so I drove speedily after them till we got to the Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island Lagos. Unfortunately, the guards at the gate hurriedly allowed them in and turned me back. There was a bit of protest around the dockyard with some civilians(women) who followed me from the scene after seeing the unjust measures meted at me at the scene but the protest did not last long as we were evacuated from the vicinity of the dockyard by the gate guards.

Eventually, I went to the nearest police station and reported all that happened. However, one the women that witnessed this ignominy left us with her number and told us to call her if she will be needed to testify. Also, a friend of mine was in the car that witnessed all these mess and was smart enough to take pictures at the scene including the faces of the naval personnels.

I hope the Nigerian Navy authorities would look into this sincerely and justly because they need to put their house in order as we were told at the police station where we reported, that a bus conductor was killed by a naval personnel during the week. I hope these perpetrators would be punished for their misconduct and this can save as an example to others if not it will only mean we are no longer safe in our homes anymore.

Thank you.

American Church Now Worship Beyonce, Introduce The "Beyonce's Bible

In Atlanta,Georgia  have founded a church called "The National Church of Bey" and they practice the religion Beyism (based on Beyoncé Knowles). They say they rather worship Beyonce than an invincible spirit(God)

The church's founder, Pauline John Andrews, recently stated,

"We are very disappointed in the failure of the public to recognize the existence of a divine Deity walking among them. Deity's often walk the Earth in their flesh form. Beyoncé will transcend back to the spirit once her work here on Mother Earth has been completed."As our congregation continues to swell, we ask that you consider what is more real; an invisible spirit on high, or a walking, talking, breathing Goddess who shows you her true form daily? Beyoncé's spirit is entrancing. We know that she was sent to this place to spread love, peace, and joy … Open your mind to new possibilities and you will see, just as we did, that Bey is a true higher power. Surfbort!"We have published the Beyble and it will soon be available for free to the public. Donations have poured in and we will soon have enough to build a temple in honor of Mother Bey. We will invite her to speak to her flock, once the doors are open."

"Abducted Schoolgirls Have Been Married Off At N2000 And Moved Abroad" - Daily Trust

Most of the 234 Borno schoolgirls in Boko Haram captivity, according to a report on DailyTrust, have allegedly been ferried abroad to Chad and Cameroon after they were married off to sect members on N2,000 bride price each.

The female students were taken from their hostels at the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok on the night of April 14. About 40 had escaped in the days after the incident, but parents and school authorities said at least 234 of them were yet to be found.

Dr. Pogu Chibok, who is the leader of the Chibok Elders Forum, told Daily Trust yesterday that latest information available to them indicates that most of the girls have been taken to the neighboring Cameroon and Chad by their captors.

He said before they were ferried in canoes across the Lake Chad, a wedding ceremony was conducted at a town on the border with Cameroon where they were married off to Boko Haram militants. He said N2,000 was paid as bride price on each of the girls to the specific Boko Haram members who took them from their school and who had assumed "ownership" of the students.

"They ferried them in canoes to Cameroon and Chad republic after they were wedded off to Boko Haram members who bidded (sic) and paid N2,000 each as dowries on their heads. The dowry was paid to their captors, the very people who abducted them from their school. One of them who married one of the girls took her to a border town close to Cameroon where villagers saw her."
Following their abduction, the schoolgirls were thought to be first taken to the Boko Haram camps in the notorious Sambisa Forest. Reports later said villagers had seen the girls being conveyed in trucks to other locations.

Bitrus said yesterday:
"So many sources have informed us that the girls have been taken to Cameroon. Many villagers said they saw the girls being transported in trucks and then in canoes. On Sunday they were taken to Dikwa area where they (Boko Haram) have a camp there. From there they took them to Marte, then Monguno before they were finally ferried in canoes. It was yesterday we got this latest report of them being married off to the insurgents by their captors."
He said sources in Cameroon told them that most of the girls were now being held at "an area where the Boko Haram operates in Cameroon."

'Crying day and night'

On whether military authorities were informed about the movements of the girls, Bitrus said:

"The military was alerted on Tuesday about two weeks ago when some villagers saw many of the girls being transported in trucks, some with even their school uniforms. The villagers tried calling the senator representing the zone but they couldn't get him so they went to Bama barracks where they reported the matter.

At the Bama barracks they were told that they must put it in writing, that that is the military tradition. At that time if the military had intervened they would have stopped them from reaching their destination. And the fact that for nearly two weeks we have been talking about this and nothing is being done, then there are questions we have to ask. Nobody did anything."Bitrus sobbed as he spoke to our reporter yesterday.

"What is happening with the Nigerian nation? I think we demand some answers. Today it is happening to these unfortunate girls from Chibok, tomorrow it may be somewhere else and that is why all Nigerians must rally around us on this.
If these captors are trying to achieve a political point, I think the best thing is for us to try to make sure that they don't succeed but from all indications they are succeeding due to inaction of government. It is helping these people in achieving their objectives."

Earlier yesterday, Bitrus spoke to the BBC Hausa radio saying:

"parents of these girls have been angry that despite the existence of government, there has not been concrete effort from government on the matter. Female parents have been crying day and night, because nobody knows what government is doing about the whole issue. All that we read in the papers is that Nigerian Army have done this or that."

When contacted over claims that the military was informed of the movement of the schoolgirls, the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, told Daily Trust:

"The concern and anxiety from all quarters is quite understandable. Please be assured that as much as the forces may not disclose details of action being taken to secure the freedom of the girls, every information received on the subject is duly analyzed and acted upon as necessary.
No information is being ignored in the concerted effort to ensure the safety and freedom of the girls. Just pray for the successful outcome of all efforts please."

Study Reveals That First born girls are most likely to succeed

According to a new study conducted by the University of Essex, girls who are first born are more likely to succeed and be acheivers..They took a cue from some of the world's most powerful and successful women  like Miss Petite, J.K. Rowling, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé
Lead researcher Feifei Bu said:
'There are several possible explanations for the higher attainment and ambition of the eldest. It could be that the parents simply devote more time and energy to them – it could be they are actually more intelligent. For me, I tend to lean towards the theory that parental investment is possibly at work here.'

They are 13 per cent more ambitious then firstborn sons,But firstborn boys – such as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W Bush – were next in line for success.

The report – Sibling Configurations, Educational Aspiration and Attainment – followed 1,503 sibling groups and 3,532 individuals through the British Household Panel Survey and its successor, Understanding Society.

Mistress Battered By Top Politician In Ogun, Explains How It All Happened

Bayo Awosanya, a prominent member of the All Progressives Coalition in Ogun State, has gone underground after he allegedly battered his mistress who asked to be identified simply as Victoria. According to the victim and a police source, Mr. Awosanya beat his girlfriend over her failure to join him at a social party over the weekend.

The victim, who has a child with her alleged assaulter, told Sahara reporters that she was determined to end the relationship.

Our police source said the APC official had asked Victoria to meet him at a "house warming" party, but got uncontrollably furious when he returned from the event and found her still at home. As the mistress attempted to explain her absence, Mr. Awosanya dealt her several blows to the face and head. Continue after the cut.

The victim, who showed serious head wounds, explained that she had fallen asleep after receiving Mr. Awosanya's telephone call, waking up only after the party would have been over. Irate, the APC official reportedly pummeled her with punches before bashing her head into a glass-window steel grille, telling her it was time for her to die.

In an interview with SaharaReporters on Friday, the victim, Ms. Victoria, said she had tried to escape the assault, but Mr. Awosanya grabbed her hair weave-on and violently pulled it out. She added that the APC official was fond of physically maltreating her. Ms. Victoria stated that she could no longer remember the number of times Mr. Awosanya battered her. She told a correspondent of the website that the last beating was too gruesome because she feared he was about to kill her. She vowed to end her relationship with the politician.

She said Mr. Awosanya had given her a vicious beating in 2008, two days before their "introduction ceremony," a prelude to traditional marriage. She explained that she had often postponed their marriage plans due to fear of the politician's horrible temper and his possible involvement in "fetish" and a dangerous lifestyle.

Mr. Awosanya was in line to become an executive member of the APC after a party congress that held yesterday.

Ms. Victoria accused the APC politician of practicing different kinds of religions out of desperation. She added that he engages in all manner of rituals in a desperate bid to advance his political goals and financial interests.

She disclosed that Mr. Awosanya had once forced her to swear to a "fetish" oath in which she had to pledge never to sleep with another man except after his death.

Ms. Victoria disclosed that she and Mr. Awosanya have a two-year old baby named Jomiloju.

Officials of the Ogun State police command claimed that they could not find Mr. Awosanya to arrest him, but a police source told SaharaReporters that they knew the politician was in town. The source added that the alleged batterer was expected to be present at his party's state congress where he was going to be inaugurated as the APC's financial accountant.

"We know where Chief [Awosanya] is, but our commander doesn't want to be involved in this palaver," our police source said.

Prophet TB Joshua Says: Abducted School Girls: God Says He Will Release Them

Speaking in his church yesterday, Prophet TB Joshua has said he saw a vision that the girls were released. He also urged Nigerians and their parents to pray for the release of the girls, but above all he says God has spoken that He will release them.

"They have to be released. That is the voice of God. I saw a vision where some of these girls have escaped and they are trying to find their way from the forest to the town. In the midnight, some of these girls ran away. The ones that are still under their custody – God said He will release them. This is the voice of God. God has spoken – these children must be released. We can't wait to see them. God has marked them that nothing should happen. Continue after the cut.

The family members of the abducted schoolgirls - your pain is our pain. I learnt many of the parents are in the bush. Please come back home. It is not your battle alone but the battle of all people of God all over the world. They are also our children.

We are in a spiritual battle. God has promised all of them will come out free, without harm and hurt. However, if there is unnecessary confrontation, it may affect them.

I want to tell our security men that they should take it easy. They should not go with full force because it will bounce back on these children. Let us be prayerful and at the same time be tactical and strategic, so they will not harm our dear schoolgirls. Their captors are in a place where they cannot move forward or backwards. Confrontation is dangerous. The security men should be very careful in their strategy and approach.

Almost half of these girls have escaped and are inside the bush. Our prayer is safety for these little ones. Let them come out! We can't wait to see them! I was expecting "Breaking News" last Thursday that almost half of them escaped. It was the shooting of our security men they heard that scared them. They are afraid the shooting is from the militants, not knowing our security forces were coming to rescue them. They have stopped their journey and are hanging somewhere. God is in control!

Lift up your voice and pray for the protection of these girls. Remember our security forces too in prayer. Ask God to give them more wisdom and a clean and clear strategy, so that their approach will not be attack for attack. No matter what the militants do, even if they attack, they should not attack back in order not to harm our girls. On Tuesday, be in an attitude of prayer. With God, all things are possible."

Speaking as a guest at the just concluded Nigerian Entertainment  Conference (NEC), the actress said;

"Somebody on a blog a few days ago wrote that there are Nollywood personalities who are friends with politicians, sharing the national cake together. Policeman Abducts And Brutalises 8-Year-Old Girl

Residents of Olufowobi Street, Ketu, Lagos, were thrown into confusion after an eight-year-old girl, Amarachi Abakwam, was found tied up and brutalised under the bed of a policeman attached to Police Mobile Force 22.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the policeman, Augustine Gbuchenge, with Force number 400823, lived in the same compound with Amarachi’s family.

The father of the victim, Patrick, said that on the fateful day he had been looking everywhere for his daughter until they discovered her under Gbuchenge’s bed.

Patrick said, “Last Thursday, I returned from work around 7.30pm and met my children and wife outside. There was power failure on that day so everywhere was dark. I asked after Amarachi but my wife said she was probably in our apartment sleeping.

“I was not satisfied with this explanation because my children don’t usually sleep early. When I went up, I did not see my daughter so we started asking around. Some little children in the compound then told me that Gbuchenge had called my daughter earlier to help him buy akara.

“I went to the policeman’s room to challenge him but he denied seeing my daughter so we continued looking everywhere. After sometime, the whole compound got involved in the search and all clues pointed to the policeman.”

Patrick said that he and the other neighbours challenged Gbuchenge again and an argument ensued.
He said Gbuchenge immediately stood up and threatened to go and tell his colleagues at the Ketu Police Division that he was being wrongly accused of abduction.

“Some moments later, I also stood up and headed for the police station to go and report the matter thinking I would meet the policeman there as well but I did not. After reporting the matter, a police corporal accompanied me back to my house,” Patrick said.

It was learnt that when they returned to the house, Gbuchenge was nowhere to be found and his room was locked.
“We were able to beam a torchlight through his window where we saw my daughter’s legs pointing out from under the bed,” Patrick said.

Neighbours were said to have rallied around and broken Gbuchenge’s door open.
When the little girl was finally pulled out from under the bed, she was bound by her hands and feet while a piece of cloth had been stuffed in her mouth.

Amarachi was said to have been bleeding profusely as she had sustained a broken skull.
She was subsequently taken to Gbagada General Hospital but due to the severity of her wound, she was referred to the Lagos Island General Hospital.

When Punch correspondent visited the victim at the hospital, she was seen wearing a neck brace while her head had been bandaged.

Narrating her ordeal, Amarachi said, “On that day, he (Gbuchenge) asked me to buy akara for him. After I returned, my mum asked me to go upstairs to do the dishes. As I was going, the man pulled me from behind and took me into his room.

“He then tied me up. He did not rape me. After sometime, my parents started shouting my name and calling me, the policeman used an iron to hit me in the head repeatedly and then pushed me under the bed and used clothes to cover me. Under the bed, I saw little children’s clothes.

“He then turned on his generator so that even if I tried to shout, no one would hear. After sometime, he left. I continued to hear my father’s voice and I struggled to push my leg from under the bed. That was how they saw me and rescued me.”

Amara described the policeman as a very friendly person who usually bought sweets and biscuits for children in the compound. She said she was surprised that he would do such a thing.
A neighbour, who did not identify himself, described Gbuchenge as a very strange person who usually carried a large bag around.

“The man (Gbuchenge) has been living in this compound for over three years. He is married with children but his family lives in Alapere, Ketu. He has two buses but on the day of the incident, he did not bring his vehicles home, it seems he had planned to escape on that day.

“We believe he wanted to use the girl for ritual. What were little children’s clothes doing under the bed?”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident in a text message sent to Punch. She said efforts were on to determine if the suspect was indeed a policeman.

She said, “I heard of the wicked act. MOPOL 22, which is where the complainant claims the suspect works has been contacted. However, the commander in charge of MOPOL 22 said there was no person with such a name or identity in his squadron.

“Meanwhile, we have sent signals to other police departments and stations to ascertain if the man is actually a serving policeman. The act is inhuman and the suspect will never go unpunished.”

Rapist/Child Killer Tortured And Raped In Brazil Prison By 20 Inmates

A Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor named Daryell Dickson Meneses Xavier was reportedly beaten and raped by 20 men after he was locked up for allegedly killing and possibly raping his girlfriend's 1year 11 months old son (pictured with him left) in Taguatinga, suburb of Brasilia, Brazil in Sept 2013.

According to local media, trouble started for the man after his girlfriend left him alone with her son. A few hours later, he called his girlfriend claiming the boy fell and was having seizures. The child was rushed to the hospital and died two days later. Doctors who didn't believe the boy fell called the police and told them they suspected foul play because the injuries on the boy wasn't consistent with a fall but with blunt trauma, and also said possible sexual abuse was involved.
Doctors concluded there was blunt trauma and that the child also had a fissure in the anus. Fissure could come from sexual abuse or constipation but the boy's mum said he didn't have constipation.

Daryell was immediately arrested and charged with abusing and killing the boy, an accusation he vehemently denied. Then he went to prison and other prisoners who had heard what he did, came for him.

According to local media reports, prisoners who were furious about the crime he committed against a child descended on Xazier and took turns violently raping him in prison. He was also brutally assaulted. He was saved by prison guards after hours of torture, who removed him from the facility. He was treated and kept in prison hospital for weeks so he could recover.

When he recovered a little, they returned him to the prison and once again...the prisoners descended on him. They tore open the stitches on her back, stabbed him some more and raped him again.

Xavier has since been removed from the Wansbeck, DF prison and taken to another prison
