After a rigorous screening process at the annual Nigerian Hospitality Security Workshop (NIHOSSEW 2014),Jovago.com was crowned with the Nigerian Hospitality Security Award for being the leading online hotel booking company in Nigeria.
The NIHOSSEW workshop is a yearly event held by the Nigerian Hospitality Security Network. It aims to educate hoteliers, hotel owners, the Nigerian hospitality industry as well as the general public on security challenges of hotels and catering organisations, while offering solutions to surmount them.
Some of these solutions include simple techniques for detecting and preventing flammables in the hotel environment, carrying out personnel security checks and detecting suspicious activities. The workshop featured speeches by CP of Lagos State Command Cornelius KayodeAderanti, CEO of Halogen Security Company Limited WaleOlaoye and Chief Femi Falana (SAN).
According to the President of the Nigerian Hospitality Security Network, Prince Chris Okojie, "operators in the tourism industry will continually be educated on issues bordering on security and ways to cope with the challenges in accordance to global best practices.
