With nary an announcement, HP has launched a new 8 inch tablet. Known as the HP 8 the tablet isn't much to look at. The 7.85 inch display offers a 1024×768 resolution and comes with 1GB of RAM. It comes with Android 4.2.2 onboard and comes with a quad-core ARM chip made by Allwinner, a Chinese company. It has stereo speakers and comes with 16GB internal storage. As far as battery is concerned it offers about 7 hours of battery life from a 3800 mAh battery.
Unlike the new VoiceTabs tablets that HP debuted at MWC this year, the tablet is somewhat a plain Jane slate from a visual aspect as you can see from the picture above. It's priced to move at $170. Comparatively, the tablet has a worse display than that of the Slate 7 or Venue 8, and the price point aside, you'd probably be better off going in a different direction.
