For their SS15 editorial, concept boutique and cafe Stranger explores the idea of myth creation, working with two young artists, Adeju Thompson and Tunde Alara, to create images that transport the models and clothing beyond the ordinary.
Stranger's thinking is that "The capacity for human beings to tell stories and imbue mundane or unusual events with greater agency through the use of narrative and myth is something that we believe has a lot of power." and "Fashion is also about myth making and it comes through in the clothing from the designers we are stocking this season."
They are Peir Wu, offering sportswear and womenswear "inspired by 1940s sportswear and the ease of Jean Michel Frank's furniture"; contemporary menswear label U.Mi-1 from Nigerian fashion designer Gozi Ochonogor; and iamISIGO's SS15 collection, Taboo.
