Writer and fashion and personal style blogger of Mes Reves, Ava Drake has turned her hand to fashion design and produced a capsule collection that will be available in Nigeria before the year is out.
The collection of about a dozen pieces in shantung silk, printed neporene, white and pink boucle tweed and striped cotton is predominatly pink and white with few bold seperates thrown in. The choice of fabrics makes for an interesting mix of textures and the collection also features more texture in the design details with raffia, fringing, applique and beading.
I think the sleeker pieces in silk and the cotton striped dress work better than the tweed dresses and separates and if I had to predict a best-selling item I'd have to go with the pink shantung silk skirt with appliqued flowers. That's the piece I'll be waiting to try on!
